Because of the specific expertise required for interventional radiology and cardiovascular coding, the AAPC now offers the Certified Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular Coder™ (CIRCC™) credential. This stand-alone credential was developed by interventional radiology (IVR) coders to demonstrate the unique expertise needed to successfully report procedures in the growing IVR subspecialty.
