PPO Contracting Resource Available

June 12th, 2009

Practices negotiating with preferred provider organizations (PPO) now have additional help with a toolkit developed by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO).

The resource walks practices through the responsibilities of a PPO; what each party must disclose; how to assess what the agreement will do for a practice; and an explanation of how a rental or “silent PPO” works.

You can access the toolkit on either the AMA or AAPPO Web site.
