Download January 2011 ASP Files
January 3rd, 2011
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released the January 2011 Average Sales Price (ASP) and Not Otherwise Classified (NOC) pricing files and crosswalks as well as updated pricing files for October 2010 and July 2010.
The ASP and NOC files contain payment amounts that will be used to reimburse providers for Medicare Part B covered drugs for the first quarter of 2011. On average, prices for the top Part B drugs increased by 0.7 percent. For most of the higher volume drugs (28 out of the top 50), prices changed 2 percent or less.
Where applicable, the payment amounts in the quarterly ASP files are 106 percent of the ASP calculated from data submitted by drug manufacturers.
The APS, NOC, and National Drug Code (NDC) – HCPCS files are available for download on the CMS website.
