By now we’ve all heard about the changes ICD-10 will make in the industry, including making the leap from 14,000 codes to 69,000. AAPC’s ICD-10 VP of education and training, Rhonda Buckholtz, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I was recently interviewed for an ICD-10 article in Renal & Urology News.

With all the news around ICD-10 centered on possibly delays, Buckholtz highly recommends staying the course. “We don’t know when it will be – it could be months or a year,” she said. “We are in a waiting game right now, so one of the things that we have been telling everyone is that if you have begun preparing, you shouldn’t stop.”
